Eastern Long Island Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission, an organization formerly known a JCAHO, which is responsible for accrediting hosptials nationwide.

Hospital Quality Alliance Participant - Special Quality Awards to ELIH

Eastern Long Island Hospital is a Hospital Quality Alliance Participant (Formerly National Voluntary Hospital Reporting Initiative). This designates that a hospital has agreed to submit performance measures for publication on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) website.  To date, 4,014 hospitals have volunteered to participate.
